Abstract

The English translation of political documents is related to the times, and there is relatively little research on adverbs. Taking the Chinese-English parallel texts of the Government Work Reports from 2004 to 2023 as corpus, this paper analyzes the strategies and evolution of adverb translation into English, finds that the diachronic changes in the English translation of some adverbs are related to the times, etc., aiming to provide references and new perspectives for translation practice and research.
