Against the backdrop of the deepening digital transformation of education and the high-quality development of vocational education, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is reshaping the vocational education ecosystem, driving a profound transformation in teaching models from “experience-oriented” to “data-driven”, and from “individual efforts” to “intelligent collaboration”. As the core base for cultivating highly skilled technical personnel, vocational colleges rely on integrated “foreign language + vocational skills” teaching as a key path to align with industry needs and enhance students' competitiveness in cross-border employment. However, the existing teaching system suffers from increasingly prominent problems such as a disconnect between foreign language teaching and vocational skills training, insufficient adaptability of teaching resources, and difficulty in implementing personalized teaching, hindering the effectiveness of education.

Currently, nearly half of higher vocational colleges have offered general AI courses, and 60% of vocational colleges are using AI to develop collaborative curriculum resources with enterprises. However, the application of AI in “foreign language + vocational skills” teaching is still in a large-scale trial phase, lacking systematic solutions and failing to fully leverage the value of technological empowerment. Against this backdrop, how to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) technology to address teaching pain points, break down the disconnect between foreign language and vocational skills instruction, and construct an integrated teaching system that adapts to industry needs, highlights vocational education characteristics, and balances language proficiency and professional competence has become a crucial issue in vocational education reform.
